Meet Our Lawyer

Abhinav Sharma is the Founder and Principal Lawyer at AVOS Law Professional Corporation. With over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry, Abhinav brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm. His interest in law developed while providing services to clients in the global trade finance team at a nationalized bank in India. While working full-time, he pursued his Bachelor’s of Law before immigrating to Canada. Abhinav is licensed with Law Society of Ontario (LSO) and holds a Degree of Barrister-at-Law, admitted to practice at the Bar, and enrolled as a Solicitor in Ontario.

Abhinav has worked in different roles, in three of top five banks in Canada, most recently as a Senior Compliance Officer in Wealth Compliance. Throughout his career, Abhinav has successfully navigated complex financial problems, provided consultation and subject matter expertise to various stakeholders. His extensive background in the financial service industry includes handling issues related to Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Law, Financial Crimes Risk Management, and Banking Law.

Unique Educational Background

Abhinav’s journey to becoming a distinguished attorney began with a strong foundation in engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. Hons), which has endowed him with a unique analytical and problem-solving skill set that enhances his legal practice. This technical background allows Abhinav to approach legal challenges with a methodical and precise mindset, making him exceptionally adept at dissecting complex issues and devising innovative solutions.
